You may Pre-register to vote in Florida starting at age 16.

On your 18th birthday, you become eligible to vote.

We partner with Martin County Public Schools and visit high schools each semester to help students register.
- Don’t wait—pre-register or update your registration now at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov:
- If you have a Florida driver license or ID, you can register online.
- Without one, you’ll need to print and mail your application to our office.

College Students

You must be registered at least 29 days before an election to vote in that election.

You only need to register once, but must keep your address and other details updated.

If you move within your county or to another Florida county, you may update your address anytime—even on Election Day.
- Decide which address to use when registering:
- You may use your campus address or your family’s address, depending on where you consider your permanent residence.
- You can only be registered and vote in one location.
- The address you choose determines where you vote and the races on your ballot.
- You can provide a separate mailing address to receive Vote by Mail ballots.
- For example:
- If you’re registered in Martin County but attending college in Tallahassee, request your ballot from Martin County.
- If you’re attending school in Tallahassee and registered using your Tallahassee campus address, you must request your ballot from Leon County.
